Charming aromas feature bing cherries, ground coffee and polished mahogany notes. The structure is imposing yet open, with a fine balance of acidity, fine tannins, and depth of fruit. The finish is long and elegantly focused with lingering fine spice notes.
Louis Jadot Description
Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the oldest and most famous of all Burgundy villages, renowned for its legendary Grand Crus and equally famous Premier Crus. Soils are a varied mix of fractured limestone and red clays depending upon the elevation. This village level wine is sourced from multiple sites and blended to best represent the classic Gevrey-Chambertin style. All fruit is hand harvested, destemmed, and fermented with natural yeasts.

A cool, airy and distinctly earthy nose is comprised mainly by an array of red berry scents. The rich, generously proportioned and palate coating middleweight flavors are a bit less austere if more rustic on the solidly complex and persistent finale. A quality Gevrey villages built for mid-term keeping.
Wine Advocate: 91 Points
The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village (Maison Louis Jadot) has turned out very nicely, delivering aromas of sweet red berries, orange zest, spices and peony, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and seamless palate that's pure, flavorful and charming. As usual, this is mostly vinified in-house.
