Our Shipping & Delivery Policy |
Due to federal and state regulations, all wine shipments must be received by an adult 21 years of age or older. An adult must be physically present to sign for the wine delivery. Therefore we recommend that you ship to a business address. Federal regulations also make it illegal to ship wine to post office boxes. We cannot schedule shipments for a specific time during the day. If someone is not available to sign for the package, an additional shipping charge may be applied to redeliver.
By placing your order you have represented to K&D Wines that you are at least 21. All alcoholic beverages that we ship on your behalf must be received and signed for by an adult of legal drinking age.
Please allow 1 to 2 business days to process all orders. If you need an order delivered immediately please call us at (212) 289-1818 to make arrangements. All orders are sent Common Carrier via Ground unless other wise notated at check out. See below for estimated delivery times. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed confirming your estimated scheduled delivery date. Please note: UPS and Fedex orders do not ship out on Saturday or Sunday.
General Restrictions
By placing your order you have represented to K&D Wine & Spirits that you are at least 21 years old.
All wines delivered must be received (signed for) by an adult of legal drinking age. We are prohibited from leaving packages "on the porch" or "by the door" without a signature.
We are prohibited from shipping wine to the following states:
Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Texas, Utah.
We are prohibited from shipping spirits (Vodka, Gin, Cognac, Liqueurs, etc.) anywhere outside of New York State.
We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers outside New York State. Please be assured that as the laws regarding shipping of alcohol change, we will do our best to accommodate everyone legally possible.
In Manhattan
Free Deliveries for qualifying orders. Orders qualify for free delivery if:
- NO MINIMUM within our local delivery zone (between East 72nd and 116th St. and between West 77th and 116th St.)
- $150 Minimum outside our local delivery zone. Orders under $150 will incur a $30 delivery fee.
- The entire order is being delivered to a single location.
- The order is shipped by a method of our choice, including our trucks.
- There is a $30 delivery fee for all gifts
In New York State
Free Shipping for qualifying orders. Orders qualify for free shipping if:
- The order totals $200 or more before tax. Orders under $200 will incur standard shipping rates. Free shipping for orders over $200 on all 750ml and 1L bottles.
- The entire order is being delivered to a single location.
- The order is shipped by the method of our choice, including UPS or our trucks.
Shipping Regulation
- Orders outside of Manhattan will be shipped with UPS or courier and will incur standard rates.
- $300 minimum for delivery to Fire Island.
- Spirits (Rum, Vodka, Gin, Tequila etc) are ONLY shipped within New York State.
- All deliveries of alcohol must be signed for by someone over the age of 21.
- Please be advised extreme temperatures are not ideal conditions for wine – please take this into consideration when arranging your shipment.
Shipping Disclaimer
When requesting that a purchase is shipped to a location outside of Manhattan, please be aware that K&D Wines sends your product with a third party delivery service, usually UPS. Although we insure all packages before shipping, once they have left our store they are no longer in our possession. Therefore K&D Wines is not responsible for any breakage or damage that may occur during transport by the contracted delivery service. Thank you.

Carrier and Delivery Times
We ship Ground, Next Day Air, and 2nd Day Air via UPS:
- Ground Service - approximately 1-6 business days in transit
- 2nd Day Air - 2 business days in transit
- Next Day Air - 1 business day in transit
All orders will be confirmed via e-mail and processed within 1-2 business days. We will contact you by the end of the next business day if there are any problems with your order. You will be promptly notified by email of any unexpected delays in processing and/or shipping. During times of bad weather, we recommend using 2nd Day or Next Day shipping to avoid spoilage.
Billing Information
Orders placed on this website are not final. Your credit card is not charged automatically. A charge is put on your credit card after the product has been packed and the order is deemed complete. Please note that all credit cards are verified. You must provide a billing address that corresponds to the credit card you are using. If the billing address does not match the credit card you will be informed and the order will not be processed until we hear from you.
Shipping and Handling Costs
The shipping costs are automatically calculated at the time the order is placed. If you would like to know the shipping cost to a particular area, please select your items and enter your zip code in the shopping cart. Prices of our wines do not include shipping/handling charges, which vary depending on destination, number of bottles ordered and choice of delivery options.
Legal Disclaimer
The buyer assumes title of the wines once purchased. By arranging for transportation of the wine, we are providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import any wines into any state. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine shipped to him or her.
