Burghound: 94 Points
The profusely wooded nose displays plenty of menthol attributes along with various red and dark berry fruit, herbal tea, earth and a pretty floral nuance. There is fine power and concentration to the large-scaled, intense and muscular flavors that deliver excellent length on the overtly robust and rustic finale that is presently very tannic yet not hard though there is ample youthful austerity present. This will clearly need plenty of time.
Vinous: 92 Points
Full medium red. Medicinal cherry and oak aromas are energized by minerals and pungent blood orange. Very primary and sharply delineated, with bitter cherry and saline mineral flavors complemented by an exotic floral character.Juicy, tightly wound and serious but already conveying strong personality.
Wine Spectator: 90 Points
Sleek and focused, with black cherry, black currant, violet and mineral aromas and flavors riding the tightly knit structure. Turns austere and muscular on the finish, but needs time to settle down.
