The 2022 Farondes Bourgogne Blanc is a flavorful and ponderous white Burgundy. It is a pale gold in color, and opens with a bouquet of cardamom and butterscotch. Some coaxing reveals ripe peach, apricot, honeyed apple, and an undertone of limestone. The palate is full-bodied and mouthfilling, flush with ripe white fruit and that persistent butterscotch note that lingers through the finish. A pop of acidity and chalky texture keeps the wine from feeling cloying.
