Golden yellow color. Notes of tropical fruit, pear, apples and a touch of matchstick on the nose. A bit riper than the Bourgogne, showing baked apple spice combined with bright citrus.
Domaine Michel Niellon Description
Grapes fermented in stainless steel tanks and near the end of fermentation, the wine is transferred to small oak barrels to ferment dry and complete malolactic fermentation during barrel aging. Batônnage is used sparingly as the wines of Chassagne are already rich.

Outstanding
Pretty, cool and airy aromas include those of essence of pear and apple that are trimmed in hints of petrol and wood. There is excellent intensity to the beautifully delineated middleweight flavors that are shaped by bright acidity on the balanced and lingering finale. This could use a few years of keeping to add depth and overall, this is a lovely Chassagne villages.
