Domaine Laroche Description
Montmains climat is located on the left bank of the Serein River. Clay-based soil and excellent exposure make it an early-ripening site, able to deliver much body and structure in the wine, with generous mouthfeel underneath.

Here the wood influence is subtle on the cooler aromas of white flowers, various citrus elements and just enough Chablis typicity to be persuasive. There is both good volume and richness allied to a lovely sense of refinement on the middleweight flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality that serves to add a sense of lift on the slightly firmer, clean and dry finale.
Wine Spectator: 90 Points
Granny Smith, green plum and lime flavors mark this lean, slightly austere Chablis. Firm and balanced, with flashes of fresh herbs and chalk dust on the finish.

The 2022 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru has an enticing bouquet: crushed stone, touches of melted wax and sea spray. This is nicely focused by subtle. The palate is well-balanced with a crisp bead of acidity - citrus-fresh, with tangy orange peel and nectarine emerging toward the finish. Rink it over the next five to seven years.
