Dark red cherry, plum, mocha, cloves and leather meld together in the 2011 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte. Rich and ample in style, the 2011 is a great example of broad- shouldered Barolos that emerge from this site in Monforte. At the same time, the inclusion of stems gives the wine a gorgeous sense of freshness that serves to balance things out. Hints of mocha, espresso and spice add the final layes of nuance.
