The Willamette Valley Chardonnay from Résonance is sourced from both estate vineyards (Résonance, Découverte and the Home Ranch Vineyards) and top vineyards in the Willamette Valley. The wine showcases the absolute best of the Willamette Valley, and elegantly blends Maison Louis Jadot’s winemaking with the Willamette Valley’s signature terroir.
A complex nose of white flowers, lemon peel, tangerine, green almond and hazelnut, nutmeg, and fresh brioche. The palate is crisp and vibrant, with aromas of fresh and dry fruits, and a precise minerality.
Wine Advocate: 96 Points
2021 Chardonnay Willamette Valley is the first iteration of this wine from Résonance, made from both estate and purchased fruit. The nose opens with streaks of matchstick and crushed almonds that give way to a deep core of yellow apple, jasmine and touches of cream and butter. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and expansive with savory layers energized by focused acidity, and it has a long, textural finish with alluring floral perfume.
Wine Spectator: 93 Points
Fragrant and supple, with elegantly layered pear and passion fruit flavors that are highlighted by notes of lemon verbena and a hint of honey.
James Suckling: 92 Points
Aromas of apricots, white peaches, white pears and nutmeg. It’s medium- to full-bodied with excellent density and focus. Fresh acidity. Subtle hints of spice. This is a new bottling of Willamette Valley fruit.
Vinous: 91 Points
The 2021 Chardonnay WIllamette Valley entices with a savory blend of crushed stone and wild herbs, giving way to crisp green apple. Cooling and round on the palate, it displays ripe orchard fruits and pretty inner florals that swirl throughout. A lemony concentration, along with a bump of residual acidity and hints of vanilla custard, add lovely punctuation to the experience.
