Odem Mountain Volcanic, Chardonnay is a bright golden color with some green reflections. The nose shows some nice citrusy notes, with hints of ripe peach, fresh cream, and green apple. Medium-bodied, slightly creamy, with notes of ripe golden apple, lemon, and almonds, the oak is subtle. The mid-palate shows some light green notes, medium acidity, with hints of orange peel and vanilla lemon pith on a medium finish.
Odem Mountain Description
Odem Mountain Winery was established by Idit and Michael Alfasi in the year of 2003, after much searching, rethinking and planning. We had a shared dream upon creating a familial enterprise in the Golan Heights along with our sons' generation and out of our deep love to wine. All of these combined en route for establishing a boutique family winery making special, creative, quality wines, but most of all – tasty. The winery was built at our home, Odem Mountain, at the heart of Golan Heights with its north most scenery. The village is built at the height of 1,100 meters above sea level and is surrounded by a striking oak forest. Adam and Yishay Alfasi, the sons of the Alfasi family are the winemakers. They are responsible for the winery future wines. From the vineyard development through the winery's fermenting and ageing in the barrel process and up to the bottling of the wines. The grapes are grown in the quality appellations of Israel – the north part of Golan Heights, and the Galilee Mountains.
