James Suckling: 98 Points
Such a classic Corton Charlemagne! Stunningly concentrated and powerful, but also so graceful. Very racy at the long finish, which has so much mineral freshness. Takes your breath away!
Wine Enthusiast: 95 Points
This wine delivers the richness and grace of this famed hillside. Cultivated from 30+-year-old vines, it offers notes of ripe citrus, fresh apple skin, orange blossom and almond. There's also a beautiful overlay of white lilies and baby's breath, framed by warm baking spices.
Wine Spectator: 94 Points
A broad and lush white, with flavors of peach, lemon oil, sweet corn and spiced apple married to a texture verging on oily. Lively, with acidity keeping this well-defined and long on the finish.
Burghound: 93 Points
More elegant and cooler aromas are comprised by green apple, floral, citrus rind, wood and spice hints. The delicious and more vibrant broad-shouldered flavors are more tightly wound and certainly more mineral-driven on the youthfully austere and sneaky long finish.
Wine Advocate: 93 Points
The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is also quite promising, exhibiting aromas of pear, buttered citrus fruit, honeycomb, toasted almonds and white flowers. Full-bodied, satiny and rich, with a fleshy core of fruit and good underlying freshness, I hope it can repeat this fine performance from bottle.
