Characteristics of Dolce, the fruit-driven flavors follow the promise of the aromatics and an enticing blend of exotic notes are carried long into the finish. Together with notes of ripe, fresh loquat, orange, and apricot, the richness of this vintage is expressed with a vanilla crème brûlée character reminiscent of bakery smells, and flavors of caramelized custard. The wine’s texture is silky with mouth-filling volume and a long finish carrying the fruitful flavors; altogether this vintage is a delight to the senses.
This wine is riveting with its aromas of honey, pineapple, mineral, and oak. Enjoy it with an after dinner conversation and a serving of dried apricots and Roquefort cheese.
James Suckling: 97 Points
Deep amber-colored wine with aromas of orange marmalade, apricot tart and honey followed by gingerbread, fruit tea, cardamon and toasted almonds. Very concentrated on the mid-palate with luscious sweetness and mouthwatering acidity that balances out the palate. Enchanting complexity and vitality with layers of exotic spices and flavors. Long and zesty finish. Lots of caramel and oranges. It shows great drinkability but will go much further with age.

Cellar Selection
More sweet and candied than the last release, this now-classic wine made from grapes shriveled by noble rot is lavish in honey, candied orange, toasted peanuts, peach syrup and butterscotch flavors. The color is golden amber, mouthfeel is unctuous, texture beyond creamy and yet backed by a touch of apricot brightness. Time is its friend.
Wine Spectator: 93 Points
Lush and rich, with marmalade, salted butterscotch, candied orange peel and nougat flavors, offering plenty of spicy ginger candy accents on a supple, viscous frame. Shows fresh acidity, keeping the flavors fresh and in focus. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
