The 2024 Domaine des Cotes Blanches Sancerre Rose, from 100% Pinot Noir, is a very pale salmon in color. It has a saline and distinctly herbal bouquet that requires some coaxing to reveal notes of golden raspberry and red currant on the vine. The palate is medium-bodied, actually a touch lighter than previous vintages, with a pleasantly creamy texture. The salinity persists on the palate, which reveals notes of brambly red fruit, strawberry pastille, and subtle citrus. The dry finish retains moderate acidity and a pleasantly chalky texture.
