Wine Enthusiast: 92 Points
This rich, juicy wine has an attractive proportion of Cabernet Franc in the blend. With dark tannins and spice balancing black-plum fruits, it is a fine example of this powerful vintage.
Wine Advocate: 92 Points
A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Roc de Boisseaux has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and offers up scents of baked blackberries, raspberry tart and blackberry preserves with nuances of espresso, underbrush and bay leaves plus a waft of fungi. Medium to full-bodied, it gives plenty of savory, muscular fruit and a chewy texture with just enough freshness and an herbal lift on the finish.
Vinous: 91 Points
The 2018 Roc de Boisseaux is a bold, juicy Saint-Emilion loaded with dark fruit, chocolate, cloves, new leather, and licorice. Flamboyant and exotically ripe, the 2018 will drink well right out of the gate.
James Suckling: 90 Points
Currant, citrus and floral aromas follow through to a medium body with light, round tannins and a fruity finish. Drink now.
