The Parusso 2019 Barolo Mariondino (in the bottle with the orange label) draws its fruit from Castiglione Falletto at the heart of the appellation. The wine presents fine aromas and a slightly more streamlined style compared to some of the other wines in this portfolio. There is wild cherry, iris root, crushed stone, licorice and tea leaf. The wine shows a tight structure and grippy tannins.

Black cherry, spice, lavender, menthol and dried flowers infuse the 2019 with striking depth. In 2019, the Mariondino is especially resonant and expansive, with striking depth and fine balance. Sandy soils and a cool micro-climate in this parcel yield a Barolo with tons of floral presence and a distinctive blood orange note that add freshness.
