Wine Advocate: 92 Points
This wine hit the market a short while before I tasted it for review. The 2016 Barbera d'Alba Superiore is a wine of enormous density, richness and consistency. It oozes forth over the senses with syrupy intensity that is infused with spice, dried blackberry and prune. Despite all that bulk and muscle mass at the beginning, the wine finishes on an elegant note with fine texture and cooling freshness. The Parusso family says that 2016 was a very good year for the Barbera grape. We can count on a relaxed, ten-year drinking window for sure.

A little reductive at first. Needs to breathe and then it delivers very ripe fruit, spices and a berry character. Full body with chocolate and ripe fruit.
