Albert Bichot Description
The nose is fine and complex with delicate primary aromas enhanced by a subtle touch of oak. Soft, fruity notes end on a spicy finish. After a few minutes, subtle notes of peppermint and cedar develop.
On the palate, all the crispiness of Pinot Noir with very pleasing, smooth, mouth-filling tannic texture.
Try this Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru "Les Malconsorts" with red meats, game in sauce, and the majority of cheeses.

Sweet Spot
Outstanding
Here too there is enough wood to notice but not to intrude on the exceptionally spicy and overtly floral-suffused nose of dark currant and plum. There is outstanding intensity, muscle and power to the broad-shouldered flavors that brim with both minerality and dry extract on the sappy, mouth coating, robust and youthfully austere finish that goes on and on. This is excellent and worth checking out.
Vinous: 93 Points
The 2019 Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts 1er Cru is medium-bodied and finely-chiseled. Lightly spiced and focused, this builds nicely in the mouth, with a very pleasing finish.
James Suckling: 93 Points
The attractive red-beet and milk-chocolate nose leads you into a full-bodied, tannic wine that’s built for long aging. Plenty of ripe plum on the very bold, almost massive palate. Expands nicely as it aerates, but you need to be patient. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.
Wine Spectator: 92 Points
Spicy and intense, with black cherry and black currant flavors permeating the refined structure. Shows good grip too, yet is balanced and long overall. Best from 2023 through 2033.
