Thanks to the patented Takamine Process, which uses Japanese Koji mold to help ferment the barley, this 8-year whiskey perfectly blends rich umami character with an underlying sweetness.

Clean and zippy, the nose revolves around lemon curd, lime juice, lemon meringue pie, and chalky Love Hearts candies, with a spritz of grapefruit peel oils. The mouthfeel and body are light, but it’s packed with flavor Lemon mousse, tangy candied orange, vanilla, honey, white pepper, plus a hint of butterscotch, gooseberry fool, and grapefruit flesh toward the end. It concludes with vanilla cream and a tangy citrus edge.
